OUR HISTORY

EST. 2010

Athens Showgirl Cabaret was founded on February 3, 2010 by Kellie Divine & Alice Divine. Then, from 2014 with the assistance of Jenn Sparx, Trevor Wright, Lindsey Antonini, the ASC continued to participate in scheduled events, charity events, and LGBTQ+ activities in Athens and the surrounding area. Athens Showgirl Cabaret hosts and sponsors monthly drag show performances at our home bar, Hendershot's. ASC hosts three events, two at Hendershot's Fabulous Fridays and Drag For All and a once monthly Luv Shak show at Dead Beat Club. All shows are 18 and up. At each of our shows, a portion of the tips go toward a local charity; Athens Area Homeless Shelter.

VENUES

Hendershot's

Hendershot's is the home bar of the AGSC. We love its atmosphere, kind staff, and convenient downtown location. The drinks are incredible!

Boybutante

The Boybutante AIDS Foundation is a force for good in North Georgia, and we are proud to have partnered with them to help raise money for their charity events for many years.

Athens Pride

Athens Pride has been a staple for the LGBTQ+ community in our town, and we are proud to have both performed and attended their many functions over the years. Building up our community and leaning on each other is how we will make it through these hard times.

Little Kings Shuffle Club

Although we no longer perform at Little Kings, it was our first home bar, and we have some incredible memories from the times we spent there. If you're looking for wide open spaces and places to dance your heart out, look no further.

Go Bar

Go Bar is no longer open, but it was our home bar for over five years. We made so many memories there, and we will never forget dancing the night away while having the time of our lives.

IN LOVING MEMORY

So many wonderful performers, fans, and friends have crossed paths with us over the years, and we want to honor our friends who are no longer with us. They are always missed, and we will never forget them and their amazing talent.
